Alan Ames, Birdman

Alan Ames has a deep passion for nature and adventure, which was rightly described by a newspaper as “ a cross between David Attenborough and Indiana Jones”. He has spent over three decades on and off living in Central West Africa, working on various wildlife projects, from setting up the Green Sea Turtle breeding project to living with the Baka people in the Cameroon rainforest to better understand nature and the ecosystem. Today, after these adventures, he is back in the UK, here to share the fantastic encounters and bring educational opportunities to the people through school visits, documentary filming, and even getting the birds to the big screen in multiple feature films!
