ALPO Guided Expeditions is a Kilimanjaro climbing specialist based in Arusha, Tanzania. We run fully guided expeditions on all of Kilimanjaro's main routes — Machame, Lemosho, Marangu, Rongai, and the Northern Circuit — with small groups, a 1:3 guide-to-climber ratio, and a 95-97% success rate on our signature Machame Route. What sets us apart is who stands behind the climb. Co-founder Yevgen Staroselskiy is a Master of Sport in Mountaineering and a holder of the Snow Leopard title, with summits of Everest, K2, and the full Seven Summits behind him. Co-founder and lead guide Liberaty Victor Mato has more than 220 Kilimanjaro climbs and is Wilderness First Responder certified. Safety leads every expedition: careful acclimatization planning, daily SpO2 and pulse checks, emergency oxygen, and an experienced local team. We are a KPAP member operator, and fair treatment of our porters is non-negotiable. Our pricing is open and published for every route.
