IAFF Local 1563 represents nearly 900 full-time professional firefighters and paramedics. Headquartered in Millersville, Maryland, we serve and protect the 568,000 citizens of Anne Arundel County. The Mission of IAFF Local 1563 is to affirm public goodwill of the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters in order to secure the best working conditions and compensation for Local 1563 members. In furtherance of this mission, IAFF Local 1563 works tirelessly to support our members and their families. Our Foundation is a Non-Profit under Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation. We support firefighters, their families, and the public in times of crisis, providing financial aid, educational assistance, and essential resources. Collaborating with local nonprofits, we advocate for fire safety and offer comprehensive relief efforts to those affected by disasters or disease.
