Compton Junior Equestrians

Welcome to the Compton Junior Equestrians (CJE), where you can learn about our unique approach to utilizing the transformative power of horses. Our mission is to harness the therapeutic benefits of horses to offer programs that empower individuals to overcome obstacles, develop essential life skills, and foster a strong sense of self-worth. Compton Junior Equestrians is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, continuing the over 30-year legacy of its predecessor in providing self-development programs to underserved urban youth in Compton and nearby areas. In response to the general lack of such initiatives, especially equestrian programs, CJE offers valuable support to at-risk youth facing challenges like school dropout, gang involvement, incarceration, and poverty. Through equine-centered programming, we provide opportunities for personal growth, promoting wellness, academic success, character development, discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills.
