Involved Psychology

Involved Psychology, run by counselling psychologist Marie-Claire McCubbery, works with individuals and couples from clinics in Richmond and Heidelberg West. Clients come to her for support with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, workplace conflict, and stress or burnout, alongside couples counselling and broader relationship issues. Her background as an adolescent psychologist means younger clients, aged 14 and over, are just as much a part of her practice as adult individuals and couples, with therapy adjusted to suit each stage of life. Marie-Claire draws on CBT, ACT, Emotional Focus Therapy, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and psychodynamic therapy, adapting her approach to what each client actually needs rather than following a fixed treatment path, and offers both telehealth and Spanish-language sessions for added flexibility around busy schedules or language preferences.
