Comprehensive ABA treatment is a type of therapy that can help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in many areas, including communication, social skills, and behavior. It is a intensive treatment that typically involves 30-40 hours per week of 1:1 therapy with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). As the child progresses, sessions may progress to small-group formats and will aim to integrate naturalistic methods of teaching into treatment. Community support may also be needed.
