The Timeless Designer

My name is Andrea Simões, and I am a 24-year-old Portuguese designer! I’ve always been fascinated by design. Since I was a little girl, I remember paying attention to small details – architecture, lighting, colours, and furniture. I don’t know if you’re like me, but design makes me feel. Fast-forward to when I was 18 and needed to choose a college degree. Unfortunately (or not), I focused too much on the financial and stability side of things and ultimately didn’t follow my heart. I earned an Economics and Management BSc, and let me tell you, those were both the best and worst years of my life. I made life-changing friendships and enrolled in various organizations that always kept the design spark alive. However, curriculum-wise I was a complete failure.
