John learned the business in 1992 in southern CA. He moved to Oak Harbor in 2005 because of the beauty of the area and to be closer to family. He enjoys being in the service industry; helping people solve their problems, interacting with customers, finding common interests like fishing and aviation. He enjoys the freedom of being self-employed, even though it sometimes means working long days and weekends. His step-son started tagging along at a early age and eventually started driving and doing service calls on his own. We typically have at least one other subcontractor helping with door/opener installs. Over the years, John has gained many repeat, loyal customers. Many people comment "he's been here before". Many of our customers also appreciate that we are local on the Island. Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority. We consider this to be a "customer service" business, more than a garage door business.
