Welcome to Roanoke VA, Star City of the South! Originally a railroad town, the area has grown with the times-we are currently the home of the largest medical center in the state, Carilion Healthcare. The city has invested in biomedical development and we have a new Medical School and Medical Research facility, all continuing to fuel the region’s prosperity! Our Overland Drive location is set in SW Roanoke County-one of the area’s most sought after neighborhoods. This location is surrounded by trees, providing a peaceful and private environment. It’s convenient to most everything that attracts visitors to our area. Within a few minutes drive, will find an extensive choice of local or chain restaurants and shopping at Tanglewood Mall, over 1,000 miles of trails for hiking/biking along the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail, and access to the highly rated Hunting Hills Country Club.
