Extradition Lawyers

We represent individuals facing extradition proceedings in Australia under the Extradition Act 1988 and people affected by Interpol Red Notices. Our work covers every stage: the extradition arrest warrant and bail (s.12, s.15), the eligibility hearing before a magistrate (s.19), Federal Court review (s.21) and submissions to the Attorney-General on surrender (s.22). We build defences on dual criminality, insufficiency of evidence, double jeopardy, political-offence and discrimination grounds, and death-penalty or torture risk. We also apply to the Commission for the Control of Interpol's Files (CCF) to have Red Notices deleted.
