The biggest struggle for most Veterans looking to buy a home is finding someone they can trust. Unfortunately, outside of any military installation it isn't uncommon to find businesses that try and take advantage of servicemembers (insert used car dealership here, you know the one). Sadly, buying real estate is no different. When EVERYONE claims to be a VA Loan "Expert" it can be hard to separate the real ones from the fakes. Like most Veterans, I assumed that working with a lending company that had the name Veteran in it meant they were good by default....won't make that mistake again....
